Sean, I'd like to send you an email, but it keeps bouncing back. It pertains to Brian Dittfeld. I'm going to copy and paste the email right here. You can delete it as soon as you see it, but I'd love if you sent me an email response. My personal email is chris@booktalk.org.
Here is the email that I tried to send to you, but it got bounced...

Sean:
I've seen you in a picture standing next to Brian Dittfeld at a comic book conference. Forgive me for not knowing or caring much about the conference. I'm just not into comics. This email has a different purpose. I'm simply spreading the word about Brian and his criminal activities.
Your friend or co-worker is a scum bag and he has been reported to the fraud department of Amazon.com as of last night. Brian has been doing an email "phishing" scam where he mimics Amazon.com's log-in screen by simply copying the source code. Anyone who actually believes Brian's scam will attempt to log in. As soon as they do their username and password are sent to Brian so he can now log into their Amazon.com Affiliates account and steal their money.
I turned him in to Amazon last night and as of tonight his personal web site is offline. You may or may not know that he has a site at http://www.politicalville.com I'm sure Amazon had his ISP shut him down.
This is the actual address of the link Brian sent out to Amazon Affiliates http://66.49.201.219/www.amazon.com/login/exec.php?cmd=sign-in
Of course this link won't work anymore. The IP address shows that the illegal phishing email was directing people to Brian's site. All you have to do is delete everything other than the IP and you get the home page of Politicalville.com. Again, his site is currently offline. Either Brian took it down after I posted a message on his Piliticalville forums page telling him he was busted, or Amazon quickly contacted his ISP and they shut him down. Either way he is offline, which is a good start.
You may wonder why I'm sending this to you. Well, I have received hundreds of these email scams over the years. They have always come from overseas where Amazon can't prosecute. I'm sure plenty of Amazon.com Affiliates have had their hard-earned money stolen from jackasses like Brian. I'm lucky that I saw the scam and knew how to identify the perpetrator. This email is simply an attempt at letting people that are close to him know what he is all about. Perhaps you don't even care. All I can hope for is that you do.
